Only this project's own code and documentation. 본 프로젝트가 직접 작성한 코드와 문서뿐입니다.
No Sony code, binary, firmware, resource, artwork or configuration file, in the package or in the repository. 패키지와 저장소 어디에도 Sony의 코드, 바이너리, 펌웨어, 리소스, 이미지, 설정 파일은 포함되어 있지 않습니다.
The protocol description was rewritten from scratch for this project, from observations, and checked against traffic from real hardware. 프로토콜 설명은 관찰 결과를 바탕으로 본 프로젝트에서 처음부터 다시 작성하고, 실제 하드웨어의 통신과 대조하여 확인한 것입니다.

What this software does not do본 소프트웨어가 하지 않는 일

It does not modify, patch, replace or run Sony's software. Sony의 소프트웨어를 변경, 대체, 실행하지 않습니다.
It does not bypass any technological protection measure, licence check or access control. 기술적 보호조치, 라이선스 검사, 접근 통제를 우회하지 않습니다.
It does not update, alter or replace the headset's firmware. 헤드셋의 펌웨어를 갱신, 변경, 대체하지 않습니다.
It sends only commands the headset already accepts from Sony's own application, to hardware the user already owns. 이용자가 이미 보유한 하드웨어에, Sony의 자체 응용 프로그램이 보내는 것과 동일하게 헤드셋이 이미 수용하는 명령만 전송합니다.

Interoperability호환성

The purpose is interoperability: making this software work with hardware the user already owns, on an operating system the manufacturer does not support. 목적은 호환성 확보입니다. 제조사가 지원하지 않는 운영체제에서, 이용자가 이미 보유한 하드웨어와 함께 동작하도록 하는 것입니다.
Several jurisdictions provide a statutory exception for this, with conditions attached. Korea's Copyright Act article 101-4 is one, and article 6 of the EU Software Directive is comparable, with article 9(1) voiding contract terms that override it. 여러 국가가 이에 관한 법정 예외를 조건과 함께 두고 있습니다. 한국 저작권법 제101조의4가 그 예이며, EU 소프트웨어 지침 제6조도 이에 상응합니다. 같은 지침 제9조 제1항은 이를 배제하는 계약 조항을 무효로 합니다.
How those provisions are read is not settled, and a manufacturer's licence terms are a separate contract question from copyright.
